## This Week This week started off strong until we had the incident on Tuesday and discovered a blocking issue with our existing work on the new billing system that required us to spend a lot of the week investigating, experimenting, and conversing about how to move forward. - Redesigned the billing page UI - Added the new billing metrics - Updated cancel subscription modal with new cancellation options and copy - Added ability to cancel subscription immediately - Added cancellation, legacy, VIP, and downgrade state - Removed email banner from the admin dashboard - Updated features on new plans screen to mark the assistants feature as unavailable for the Mover plan - Updated plans page to handle legacy subscriptions - Continued experimenting with the unified subscription approach and found a blocker around Stripe customer portal not supporting subscription updates with multiple products - Several meetings discussing the blockers with Stripe subscriptions with multiple products - Explored alternatives to the subscription structure, so we could still keep a single subscription and keep using the billing portal - Decided on a path forward with single subscription with tiers for emails ## Next Week - Explore the impacts of completely removing the concept of an email subscription from the app - Work on implementing the combined plan strategy with tiers - Explore changes to (or replacing) the feature checker - Remove a lot of code that was added for our original approach ## Schedules - @andrew out April 27-29th - @diogo out May 1st
