On top of that, Crawler-versus-Crawler combat becomes openly incentivized, and Faction Wars start reshaping who's aligned with whom. This is the entry where the series fully sheds any "fun romp" framing. Long-term party members are lost, betrayals land hard, and Carl's anger curdles into something more strategic and colder.
